A 35-year-old man is facing rape and kidnapping charges in connection with an incident on April 20, the Everett Police Department said.
Jersson Canales is charged with kidnapping, rape, aggravated rape, and attempted rape, police wrote on Facebook. He was taken into police custody on Saturday.
Police did not provide details of the incident or specify what prompted the charges against Canales.
Canales has been held since his arrest, according to police. He is set to appear in Malden District Court Monday for an arraignment on the charges, according to The Boston Globe.
