MBTA Transit Police are asking for the public’s help in locating a person of interest connected with a shooting at the Harvard MBTA station on Sunday afternoon.
The person is seen on surveillance images posted by police on X wearing a light grey hoodie and a black mask covering much of his face. They are also seen wearing black pants and sneakers.
Transit Police urged anyone with information to contact them at 617-222-1050. Callers can remain anonymous, the police department said.
Police were alerted to the shooting at around 2:12 p.m. Sunday.
Investigators believe a man fired about four to five shots at a “targeted individual” while on the southbound platform of the Harvard MBTA station Sunday afternoon, Transit Police said.
There is no evidence to suggest a person was hit by the gunshots, Transit Police Superintendent Richard Sullivan told MassLive in an email.
The suspect fled the station after the shooting. No arrests have been announced as of Monday morning.
