Sutton police launched an investigation after Sutton High School was the target of a bomb threat Monday morning, the department said in a statement posted to Facebook.
The police department was alerted to a bomb threat directed at the Worcester County school just before 5 a.m. Monday morning. The threat was made via email and was only one sentence long, the department said.
Officers “immediately put a plan in motion” to investigate the threat, and spoke to the superintendent before school began. The department conducted a search of both Sutton High School and Sutton Middle School, and did not find anything “out of the ordinary,” according to the statement.
