Police asking for help on why 478 nails were lined up on Mass. road

Hundreds of nails were found lined up on a Falmouth road at 2 a.m. Friday. Now, police are asking for people’s help.

Around 2 a.m., Falmouth Police Officer Cooper Chapman was patrolling John Parker Road when he saw nails lining the roadway. Officers checked the area on foot and located more nails on Clark Street, Old Barnstable Road and Prince Henry Drive. Some nails, police said, were put under vehicle tires in driveways.

In photos shared by the police department, the nails can be seen lined up on the road.

Overall, officials collected 478 nails.

Police are asking neighbors to check security camera footage to see if there’s any video of the incident. They’re also asking anyone with further information to come forward.
