SOUTH HADLEY – On the opening play of the game, the kickoff went out of bounds, triggering a re-kick.
The re-kick didn’t faze the receiving team as Pittsfield’s Freddy Conyers took the kickoff 80 yards to the end zone for a touchdown. The Generals were unable to convert on the two-point conversion and kicked the ball back to their opponents, leading 6-0.
