PITTSFIELD ― Pittsfield coach Jerome Edgerton stormed out of the locker room, adrenaline pumping and drenched in sweat, after his team’s victory over local rival Taconic in the Western Massachusetts Class B semifinal on Thursday.
The No. 4 Generals had just knocked off the No. 1 team in the tournament—a team that had beat them twice during the regular season—by a razor-thin margin, 68-66, fueled by intense defense and relentless energy.
