A person was killed when their pickup truck crashed not far from an exit off Interstate 93 in Woburn on Friday night, according to Massachusetts State Police.
A State Police Trooper patrolling Interstate 93 North saw a pickup truck speeding in the right lane around 9:30 p.m. Friday and activated his lights to stop the car, Tim McGuirk, an agency spokesman wrote in an email. A short time later, the truck exited the highway and the trooper ended the pursuit.
State Police later learned the pickup truck was involved in a fatal crash at the intersection of Commerce Way and Atlantic Avenue in Woburn, not far from the I-93 exit, McGuirk said.
