On Friday evening, Sheryl Crow showed the Boston Calling crowd that talent and experience go a long way — and that a little rain can’t slow her down.
Despite the rainy weather and plummeting temperatures, fans packed the lawn while she powered through her set, which came right before Megan Moroney took over.
Crow is one of a handful of artist to receive both the Grammy’s “Best New Artist” award in 1995 as well as a nod to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, which she entered in 2023. The Beatles and Carly Simon are on that short list, too.

Boston Calling is held at the Harvard Athletic Complex in Allston Memorial Day Weekend, Friday, May 23 through Sunday, May 25.
The festival made several improvements for the 2025 festival after receiving backlash in 2024 over unsafe conditions, crowd control and capacity issues. Among the improvements are a new site map, more water stations and a reorganization of stages.
