The Board of Directors of Big Y Foods Inc. announces leadership changes within its legal team. Michael Gold, senior vice president and chief legal officer, has recently retired following more than 30 years of legal experience in both private practice and corporate counsel roles. He had a 18-year tenure at Big Y.
Succeeding him is Richard Stamm as new general counsel.
Stamm brings over 30 years of legal, business and executive experience across a variety of industries and business structures. For the bulk of his career prior to Big Y, he was immersed for 24 years within food/beverage and agriculture with Ocean Spray Cranberries, serving ultimately as its vice president, general counsel and secretary and vice president of cooperative development. Most recently, he served as vice president of operations, general counsel and corporate secretary at Activ Surgical, Inc., a med-tech, venture capital backed, AI-focused startup.
Stamm holds a B.A. in business economics from Brown University and a J.D. with highest honors from the University of Connecticut School of Law. He teaches an evening class each spring as an adjunct professor at UConn Law.
Stamm lives in Sharon.

American International College has promoted Michael Dodge to provost and Michael Eriquezzo to vice president for marketing and communications, building on the success of the College’s leadership team.
Dodge earned a Doctor of Education in education policy and leadership — higher education from the University of Massachusetts Amherst, an MBA from Eastern University, a Master of Arts in student affairs in higher education from Indiana University of Pennsylvania, and a Bachelor of Arts in secondary education – English from SUNY Oswego. He previously served as executive vice president of academic affairs and student life.
Eriquezzo, a graduate of the Isenberg School of Management with a bachelor’s degree in marketing, has led AIC’s marketing team since 2020.

The Peabody Companies, a group of property management and real estate firms, announces that Caila Mills-Malloy of Bondsville, has been awarded the Eugene J. Burger, CPM, IREM Foundation Scholarship to pursue a Certified Property Managerdesignation.
Named in honor of Eugene J. Burger, aformer IREM president and IREM Foundation president, the scholarship covers 75% of the tuition associated with earning a CPM. It is funded through the Community Housing Opportunities Organization to continue Burger’s legacy of mentorship and advocacy in the housing sector.
Mills-Malloy, who joined The Peabody Companies in January of 2022, is the property manager at Powdermill Village in Westfield.
