Analysis: Week 5 in Foxborough is usually an exciting time for Pats fans. The leaves are starting to change, the weather isn’t boiling hot nor bitter cold (hello, best week for tailgating) and the Pats are usually — ok, sometimes … ok they used to be — hitting their stride about a month in. This week, however, fans are walking into a Gillette Stadium that is once against destined to host a snooze/boo-fest. But, hey, let’s have some fun and make predictions.

Last week, Sharpy beat L and John in a tiebreaker. All three had 8 points out of a possible 10. Yours truly dropped the ball again and spun a 4/10 to dive down the season standings with a 24, which is good for 14th place. Our season leader is SMH06095 who rattled off a 7/10 last game. They have 32 total points and the tiebreaker lead over MassLive’s own Jim Pignatiello.

As for Week 5, it’s obviously pretty hard to guess which Patriots and Saints teams show up but we do know these guys don’t like to score a lot of points, so I’m going to ride that pretty hard. Field goals, sacks and turnovers will be the storyline here with a handful of promising drives ending in some not-so-happy results for the offense.
