Packers RB Aaron Jones injures hamstring on touchdown run vs. Bears

Week 1 was not kind to NFL running backs.

Baltimore Ravens’ J.K. Dobbins tore his Achilles and will miss the rest of the season, and the Packers lost one of their RBs in the third quarter of their game against the Chicago Bears.

Aaron Jones ran the ball to the end zone on 4th-and-3 to give Green Bay a 23-6 lead. But he grabbed at his hamstring as he was running. Jones was seen getting treatment on the sidelines, and the Packers announced he was questionable to return.

Before the injury, Jones was putting in work for Green Bay. The running back rushed for 41 yards on nine carries and a touchdown, while hauling in two receptions for 86 yards and a score.

Jones rushed for over 1,000 yards in three of his last four seasons with the Packers and amassed a career-high 16 touchdowns in 2019.

If Jones is lost for any amount of time, that will certainly be a big blow to the Packers’ offense — who enter a new era under Jordan Love at quarterback.
