One person was flown to a hospital and three others were injured in a three-vehicle crash on Cape Cod Sunday morning, according to police.
Orleans police were notified of a head-on crash between two vehicles at 191 Route 6A around 8 a.m., the police department said in a press release. Police and firefighters responded and found that three vehicles had crashed in two separate collisions, and that all involved vehicles had stayed at the scene.
One person was flown by medical helicopter to Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston, police said. Ambulances from Harwich, Eastham and Brewster — as well as Orleans — responded to the scene, and three other people involved in the crash were taken to Cape Cod Hospital in Hyannis.
Photos of the scene shared to social media showed two light-colored pickup trucks involved in the crash.
A regional Cape Cod crash reconstruction team is investigating the collisions, police said. Anyone with information about the crashes is asked to call Orleans Police Officer Carly Stevens at (508) 255-0117 or cstevens@orleanspd.com.
