A 24-year-old man from Springfield was the victim of a stabbing in Chicopee on Sunday, according to Hampden County District Attorney’s Office spokesman James Leydon.
Chicopee police responded to a report of a stabbing at 3 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 6, on at a Shell Station on West Street. Police found a man, later identified as Maurice Crump of Springfield, had been stabbed. Crump was taken to Baystate Medical Center, where he died, Leydon wrote.
