Two off-duty firefighters saved another player after he went into cardiac arrest during a hockey game.
Plympton and Duxbury Firefighter Scott Hill and Braintree Firefighter Brian Oriola were both playing an amateur hockey game at Hobomock Arena in Pembroke when one of the players had a cardiac arrest, the Plympton Fire Department wrote on Faceobok. They both quickly recognized the emergency and began CPR. Another player grabbed an AED.
The man, 64, had been sitting on the home team’s bench when he fell over, according to WCVB.
