Northampton Housing Authority has absorbed nearby housing organization

NORTHAMPTON — By the end of February, it was official: Gov. Maura Healey signed legislation that merged two housing authorities in Western Massachusetts.

Its executive director had retired and membership on its board of directors shrank. Northampton Housing Authority agreed to absorb the nearby housing authority and its properties.
