CHICOPEE – Despite trailing by two sets, No. 5 Longmeadow finished the second set on strong and showed promise early in the third – taking their first lead of the night. No. 1 Westfield, who clung to just a 5-3 lead, knew it wouldn’t be easy to put the Lancers away on Monday.
But Westfield’s Miles Shepard ensured a comeback was out of the picture.
