The Drake Maye MVP hype train is back on the tracks and headed to New York New Jersey on Sunday afternoon as the Patriots take on the Jets.
According to DraftKings, Maye is currently second in MVP odds (+175) behind only Los Angeles Rams QB Matthew Stafford (-215).
Meanwhile, the Patriots enter Week 17 having clinched a playoff spot for the first time since 2021. They can wrap up the AFC East with both a win over the Jets and a Buffalo Bills loss to the suddenly extremely beatable Kansas City Chiefs.

While the Patriots’ stock is way up this year, the Jets (3-12) are Jetsing yet again and would have the No. 4 pick in the NFL Draft if the season had ended after Week 16. They are currently behind (or is it ahead of?) the New York Giants (2-13), Las Vegas Raiders (2-13) and Cleveland Browns (3-12). The Tennessee Titans and Arizona Cardinals are both also 3-12.
The Patriots are pretty banged up coming out of Sunday night’s win over the Ravens, so this should be a matter of survive and advance.
Final score prediction: Patriots 31, Jets 17
