New York Rangers vs. New York Islanders – How to watch

The NHL’s Stadium Series — separate and apart from their Winter Classic game held annually on New Year’s Day — is coming to New Jersey. The New York Rangers will face off against the New York Islanders Sunday afternoon.

The Rangers have been one of the top teams in the league since the start of the season and lead the Metropolitan Division. The Islanders, meanwhile, have been disappointments and last month fired coach Lane Lambert and replaced him with Hall of Famer Patrick Roy. To date, that move hasn’t paid a lot of dividends.

If it matters, the Rangers are undefeated outdoors over the course of four games in the greater New York area. They edged the Islanders at Yankee Stadium in 2014.

Fans looking to watch this NHL game can do so for free by using FuboTV or DirecTV Stream, which both offer a free trial. SlingTV doesn’t offer a free trial but has promotional offers available for streaming the game.
