New açaí bowl, burger spot coming to Midtown Mall in Worcester later this year

An açaí bowl chain that also specializes in burgers and milkshakes is expanding outside of the Boston area for the first time this year.

Yasai Bowl confirmed to MassLive Friday that it is planning to open its newest location at the Midtown Mall in Worcester around March. MassLive took a photo of a poster outside of the space advertising the new location.

Yelp reviewers have said Yasai’s bowls are better than those one could get in Brazil, from where the dish originated.

“I checked out Yasai Bowl in Everett, and let me tell you, they’ve got an açaí bowl that’s so delicious, it made me forget about all those times I overpaid for parking in São Paulo,” one reviewer said. “The presentation? Impeccable! It’s like they’ve got Michelangelo back there sculpting fruit.”

“Quick service and amazing açaí bowls,” another reviewer said. “Every bite is a new adventure.”

The Worcester spot will mark the fourth location of Yasai Bowl. It will join the chain’s other spots in Weymouth, Everett and Peabody.
