NEEDHAM – Lukas Berner could not have asked for a much better start to his senior season for Needham boys soccer.
He helped hold Newton North, the reigning Division I state champs, to just three shots on net, and netted his first varsity goal. Berner’s header in the 13th minute was also the first score for the Rockets in a contest that they eventually won, 4-1, Wednesday night.
