BOSTON — As has been throughout the season, the UConn Huskies continue to get production from up and down their roster. And when the lights are brightest, they can rely on some potential NBA Draft picks to produce. In what ended up being a dominant win over Illinois to reach the Final Four, it was Donovan Clingan as he was the best player throughout the night.
Clingan, 20, bolstered his NBA Draft status as he’s a potential lottery pick. The 7-foot-2 big man was everywhere Saturday, stopping a potent Illini offense whenever they entered his domain in the paint. Clingan finished with 22 points, 10 rebounds, five blocks and three steals Saturday as he dominated in his 22 minutes on the court.
