SOUTH HADLEY — Mats to improve safety in the cafeteria, access to a fund that could help workers with immigration legal issues and raises that most benefit the lowest paid staff. These are some of the benefits included in the deal reached by Mount Holyoke College and the union representing facilities and dining staff to reach a deal, the union said in a Friday afternoon statement.
The college then reached a similar agreement with the union representing 23 housekeepers hours later.
