Peter Simpson, owner of Haymarket Cafe, said he hadn’t closed the cafe for over 31 years, except for Thanksgiving and Christmas.
In July, he closed Haymarket temporarily to relax and envision a different future for Haymarket, working to put together a new menu and baked goods as well as a fine dining concept in the lower level of the cafe.
