WESTFIELD – Minnechaug boys and girls swimming teams picked up wins over Westfield on Tuesday evening as the Falcons continued their pursuit of Western Mass. and state titles.
The Minnechaug girls beat Westfield 121-64 and the boys won 112-49. The two teams also held a moment of silence for Chris Chambers, a NAVY SEAL and state champion swimmer at Westfield who was declared dead by the Navy on Sunday. Westfield coach Tom Lewis delivered a speech about Chambers and wore a Hawaiian shirt in his honor.
