MCAS scores are in — here’s where the students stand

Reading up, math flat, science down: Massachusetts’ latest statewide test scores show the pandemic’s grip on student learning hasn’t fully loosened, with some local districts scoring far below the state average.

The 2025 Massachusetts Comprehensive Assessment System results show that students across the state are still trailing pre-pandemic achievement levels, the state Department of Elementary and Secondary Education announced Monday.
