
DANVERS – Friday night, St. John’s Prep junior Maxwell Parent had one of the best performances in the 119-year history of his school’s football team.
Carrying the ball 33 times for a school-record 354 yards and five touchdowns, Parent led the No. 1 Eagles past the No. 8 Leominster Blue Devils, 48-32, in the quarterfinals of the Division I state tournament.
