Before the storm, some freezing rain Thursday morning is predicted to lead into a foggy, warm day with highs in the low 50s and upper 40s across the state, according to the weather service. Overnight lows are expected to dip into the mid to low 30s the next few nights.

During the day on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, temperatures are predicted to bounce back up to the low 40s, according to the weather service. Friday is expected to be rainy, while Saturday should just be cloudy, but some rain Sunday is predicted to turn to snow overnight as temperatures drop.

The Berkshires are expected to see the snow first, as early as 1 a.m. Saturday morning, according to the weather service. This area of the state is predicted to experience a mix of rain and snow on Sunday amid highs in the mid 30s, but the snow should stop by the early afternoon Monday.

The rest of Massachusetts is expected to begin seeing snow in the late evening Sunday and early morning Monday, according to the weather service. As the snow comes down on Monday, the state will likely experience blustery winds of 15 to 25 mph amid highs in the mid to upper 20s.

The snow is expected to wrap up first in Western Massachusetts around noon Monday, and then in Central Massachusetts by the end of the afternoon, according to the weather service. Finally, Eastern Massachusetts should see the snow stop by the end of the day.
