Mass. teen facing murder charge in slaying of fellow teenager

A fourth teenager was arrested in connection with the fatal shooting of 18-year-old Colus Jamal Mills-Good in Fall River last week and is now facing a murder charge, the Bristol County District Attorney’s office said.

Amannie Chiclana, 19, of Fall River, was arrested in Stoughton by State and Fall River Police on charges of murder and carrying an illegal firearm. Chiclana is set to be arraigned in Fall River District Court on Friday, District Attorney Thomas M. Quinn III’s office said in a statement.

Chiclana is the fourth person arrested in connection with the slaying of Mills-Good on Thursday, March 14. The three other people arrested — Jadyn Ortiz, 19, of Fall River, Xzavien Figueroa-Valcarel, 19, of Fall River and Giovanni Nunes, 18, of Fall River — are all charged with accessory to murder-after the fact. All three are being held on $250,000 cash bail, Quinn’s office said.

At around 11:40 a.m. on March 14, Mills-Good was found near Rock and Franklin streets in Fall River with gunshot wounds after police responded to a report of gunshots in the area, Quinn’s office said in a statement. He was rushed to St. Luke’s Hospital in New Bedford, where he was declared dead.

State Police detectives assigned to Quinn’s office, Fall River Police, and Homicide Unit prosecutors are actively investigating the killing, the statement said.

“The investigation into the homicide is extremely active and no further information about the facts of the probe can be disseminated at this time,” Quinn’s office said.
