Mass. State Lottery winner: $100,000 ‘Mass Cash’ prize won Thursday

After purchasing a “Mass Cash” ticket at The Store, one Massachusetts State Lottery player won $100,000 Thursday.

The Store is located at 88A Providence St. in Worcester. The winning numbers for the May 2 drawing were 9, 20, 24, 27 and 34.

Mass Cash players choose five numbers from 1-35, and can select how many drawings they want to use the same numbers for. Each ticket costs $1, and drawings are daily at 9 p.m.

The Massachusetts State Lottery releases a full list of winning tickets every day. The list only includes winning tickets worth more than $600.

Overall, more than 530 prizes worth $600 or more were won or claimed in Massachusetts on Thursday, including 18 in Springfield and 17 in Worcester.

On Wednesday, Christine Wilson of Attleboro came forward to claim a $1 million prize. She’d bought her winning “100X Cash” scratch ticket at Family Food Mart in Mansfield. It was the second $1 million prize Wilson has won in the past 10 weeks.

So far, the seven largest lottery prizes won in Massachusetts in 2024 were each worth $4 million.
