A Tewksbury man was arrested Saturday after he took photos of a woman under a bathroom stall door as she used the toilet at a local business, according to police.
Prajwol Chaulagain, 23, pleaded not guilty to charges of photographing an unsuspecting nude person and disorderly conduct in connection with the incident during his arraignment in Lowell District Court on Monday, according to court records.
On July 12, Tewksbury police were called to a business on Main Street for a report of a man taking photos of a woman in the women’s bathroom around 7:15 p.m., Tewksbury police said in a press release. Officers arrived to find a “distraught” victim and several witnesses who reported that a man had held a camera under a stall in the woman’s bathroom and taken photos of the victim as she used the toilet.
The suspect fled the bathroom when the victim screamed, police said. Officers’ on-scene investigation identified Chaulagain as the suspect. He remained at the scene and was arrested without incident.
