Mass. man expected to plead guilty in fatal shooting of 46-year-old

A 30-year-old man is expected to plead guilty to charges of manslaughter and kidnapping Thursday morning in connection with a fatal shooting in Dorchester on Feb. 20, 2020, according to the Suffolk County district attorney’s office.

Sabrion Rasmure, of Roxbury, is charged with the fatal shooting of Dorchester man Victor Augusto Lopez Sanchez, who was also known as Marcos Blanco, 46. Prosecutors say Rasumure and another, yet-to-be-identified, person approached Sanchez after lying in wait outside 89 Woodrow Ave. for about 25 minutes.

Rasmure and the other person are accused of forcing Sanchez inside the building at gunpoint, binding him with duct tape and ransacking his apartment. Prosecutors say Rasmure and his partner shot Sanchez once in the back before fleeing the building from the same door they came in.

Sanchez was taken to Boston Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.
