Mass. lotto player wins $50K in $1.1B Powerball drawing on Monday night

A lottery player from Massachusetts won $50,000 playing Powerball on Monday night during a drawing for $1.1 billion.

The winning numbers for the Dec. 15 drawing were 23, 35, 59, 63, 68 and Powerball: 2. The prize had rolled to an estimated $1.15 billion by the time of the drawing on Monday night, with a cash value of $524.7 million.

The winning $50,000 ticket was sold in Westford at Nab’s One Stop Shop. It matched four of the first five numbers and the Powerball number.

The Powerball jackpot has rolled to an estimated $1.25 billion as of Tuesday morning, with a cash value of $572.1 million.

The next drawing will be on Wednesday night.
