Melrose Fire Chief Ed Collina has been placed on leave amid an investigation into a violation of city policy, according to multiple reports.
Mayor Jennifer Grigoraitis’ office confirmed Collina’s status but did not detail why Collina is being investigated, according to WCVB-TV.
“We cannot provide further details as this is an ongoing personnel matter,” the mayor’s office told the station.
