A Massachusetts casino player won nearly $50,000 earlier this month.
On Jan. 8, a Weston man bet $15 on the slot machine game “Double Dollars” and hit the jackpot worth $45,000.
Encore Boston Harbor casino, in Everett, has more than 2,700 slot machines and more than 175 table games.

More than 16,000 jackpots were won on slot machines and table games at the Massachusetts casino in December.
Overall, $43,030,773.07 was paid out across 16,147 total jackpots at Encore Boston Harbor casino. Of those, 15,989 jackpots worth $41,387,729.07 were from slot machines.
The largest jackpot won off of a slot machine at Encore Boston Harbor in December was won on Dec. 28. A progressive jackpot worth $208,191.29 was won after a player bet $100 on the game “Dragon Emperor – Ultimate Fast Cash.”
There was also $1,643,044 won across 158 table games. The largest jackpot won was when a $5 side bet triggered a progressive on “Pai Gow Poker.” The jackpot was worth $367,941.05.
