Child actors in Boston and Springfield are being encouraged to audition for a new post-apocalyptic movie.
The movie is called “America Down” and is a feature film set in the post-apocalyptic United States following a devastating pandemic. The movie will likely be rated R and the role “involves intense scenes including R-rated themes of language, and death.”
Currently, the film is casting for the younger sibling of the protagonist, Jamie.
Children ages 5-12 are encouraged to apply. The young actor needs to be capable of expressing a wide range of emotions.
“The younger the look, the better, but we are open to submissions from ages 5 – 12,” the casting website states.
Production will occur in Connecticut and New York from May 2026 to June 2026. The actor could get paid up to $1,200 for five days of filming.
