Arlington Police are investigating after an 11-year-old boy reported being approached by a man who tried to grab him while walking home on Tuesday.

The boy told police the incident happened around 3:10 p.m. Tuesday when he was walking home from a convenience store on Broadway. As he walked, the boy was approached by a four-door sedan on Waldo Road. A man inside the car, who was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and black facemask, tried to grab his arm, Police Chief Julie Flaherty said in a statement.

The man did not say anything and the boy was able to run away, Flaherty said.

Anyone who may have been in the area at the time and who saw anything suspicious is urged to contact police at 781-643-1212.
