Man followed woman home, tried to break into her house, police say

A man followed a woman home, hid behind her cars and tried to break into her house in Watertown early Sunday, the Watertown Police Department said.

Around 3:45 a.m., police said the man followed the woman home. While she entered the house, police said he hid behind the cars in the driveway. Once she was inside the house, the man tried to get inside her home through the front and back doors.

A ring camera video shared by police shows the suspect walking through her gate towards the house.

Police said the woman wasn’t harmed. But they are adding extra patrols in the area.

Police are also asking for the public’s help to identify the man. Those with camera’s are asked to check them to see if they have any video of the man.

He is described as white or hispanic man in his 30′s, wearing a Black Reebok Sweatshirt and a tattoo on his left hand.
