A 20-year-old man died on Sunday after he went under the water on a fishing trip in Fort Meadow Reservoir in Marlborough and did not resurface, according to the Middlesex County District Attorney’s office.
Marlborough police and firefighters went to the reservoir around 4:15 p.m. on Sunday after learning the man had gone missing, Sarah Lamson, a spokesperson for the district attorney’s office, told MassLive. The man was found in the reservoir by the Marlborough fire department.
The man was taken to Marlborough Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, according to the district attorney’s office.
The incident remains under investigation.
