STURBRIDGE, Mass. — Parents seeking creative entertainment options for their children have a vibrant solution at Brush It Off, a full-service creative studio in Sturbridge where the messy is celebrated and artistic rules are meant to be broken.
The studio, which offers a range of artistic activities including ceramics and pottery classes, has found its most popular attraction in an activity that deliberately encourages patrons to make a mess: splatter painting in a glow-in-the-dark environment.
After completing their initial canvas work, participants are equipped with protective gear before entering what has become the studio’s signature offering: a specialized room illuminated with neon lighting where the real artistic liberation takes place.
Pricing for the experience starts at $30 per person, with discounts available for larger groups. All necessary supplies, including protective clothing and equipment, are provided by the studio.
Advance reservations are recommended, especially for weekend sessions which frequently sell out. The studio does accommodate walk-ins when space permits.
The studio is located at 559 Main Street in Sturbridge and is open Tuesday through Sunday.
