The Maine Celtics remain one game away from the G-League title after falling to the Oklahoma City Blue on the road 99-89 in Game 2 of the G-League Finals. The loss evens the series between the two squads at 1-1 and sets the table for a winner-take-all Game 3 to be hosted by Maine on Monday.
Celtics two-way player Drew Peterson had a team-high 29 points and seven rebounds in the defeat for Maine while JD Davison added a double-double with 11 points and 12 assists. Those contributions weren’t enough against a Blue squad led by Lindy Waters (27 points on 10-of-13) shooting. Five other Blue players also scored in double figures as Oklahoma City controlled the game from wire-to-wire after taking a double-digit lead in the first half.
