LUDLOW — A program that sends clinicians to assist police officers on some calls is poised to expand in the town of Ludlow.
Since last fall, local first responders and staff from the Center for Human Development have banded together to bring a new approach in cases involving mental health concerns. The program mirrors efforts around the country, and in the Valley, to provide an alternative to traditional police responses.
