
SOUTHWICK – For most of the last decade, the Monson High School girls soccer team was the gold standard in Western Massachusetts. One of their adversaries is making a pitch to claim that spot atop the mantel.
Southwick senior forward-midfielder Lorelai Whalley recorded a hat trick, scoring all three goals in the second half as the Rams beat Monson for the third time in two years, defeating the Mustangs 4-0 Friday at home.
