NORTHAMPTON — In the first race of the late meet, Longmeadow’s Lucy Connell stepped onto the track for the two-mile run. The Lancers were gearing up for the final regular-season meet at Smith College as the team, and the rest of their competition, prepare for next week’s PVIAC Indoor Track and Field Championship.
Connell quickly got out toward the front, growing her lead as time went on en route to a first-place finish with a final time of 12:52.33.
