BOSTON — Kristaps Porzingis is back for the Celtics as it looks like the big man hasn’t lost a step. His rehab not only went so well it surprised the team but he was also ahead of schedule when he returned Nov. 25 against the Clippers.
Porzingis’ impact was on full display in the Celtics’ win over the Pistons on Wednesday as he finished with season-highs of 26 points and nine rebounds. Not only that, but his chemistry with Jaylen Brown was again evident for those watching the two operate. It’s like the two teammates — nicknamed “cookies and cream” — have been locked in playing together. After the victory, Porzingis praised Brown’s mental skill of knowing how to get his teammates involved.
