HUNTINGTON — It Takes a Village in Huntington and its Village Closet clothing and family needs outlet is planning a back-to-school celebration, complete with student backpacks filled with school supplies and back-to-school clothing for kids of all ages on Aug. 18. And, as always, everything at the Village Closet is 100% free.
But this year, the organization’s usual supplier of backpacks has come up dry, and the Village Closet needs help finding and paying for 250 backpacks. Anyone who wishes to help buy backpacks for families in need can go to the It Takes a Village website at https;//www.hilltownvillage.org) and donate directly.
