Is this new 2-floor, 10K sq-ft. Starbucks the most beautiful cafe in the world?

Starbucks has launched its first flagship store in Spain, a sprawling two-floor location spanning nearly 10,000 square feet at Madrid’s iconic Bernabéu Stadium.

The premium venue, operated by Alsea, marks a significant expansion in the company’s Spanish footprint, offering products and experiences unavailable elsewhere in the country.

Visitors entering the store are greeted by a digital arch that transforms coffee’s journey from bean to cup into an immersive art installation. The 3D display pays homage to Madrid, featuring the city’s iconic elements through digital brushstrokes and wisps of steam.

The store’s artistic elements include an abstract sculpture hanging from the atrium, created by Madrid-based artist Cristina Mejías as an interpretation of the Starbucks Siren.

A dedicated mixology area stands as one of the location’s distinctive features, allowing guests to explore coffee-based cocktails that blend traditional coffee with creative ingredients.

The flagship has hired 65 new coffee specialists, including Coffee Masters who have competed internationally or expanded their expertise by visiting coffee farms through the Starbucks Origin Experience program. These experts lead personalized sessions and exclusive events for visitors.

The upper level provides panoramic views of Bernabéu Stadium, with lounge areas, a tasting room and a mural celebrating Madrid’s floral beauty.

With this opening, Starbucks continues expanding its presence in Spain, where it now operates 222 stores across Iberia with nearly 2,800 partners.
