HENDERSON, Nev. — A documentary sharing the stories of police officers’ families as they navigate trauma has been released and is available to rent on Amazon Prime Video, a press release from Lightning Digital Entertainment states.

“Is there something going on at home?” features two families sharing their stories of navigating trauma in discussion with Dr. Olivia Johnson, a researcher in the field of law enforcement mental health.

One featured family shares their narrative of a former New York State trooper and DEA task force agent struggling with addiction and PTSD in his post-service life.

Another family shares their experience navigating the challenges of a taxing police career, leaving the spouse at home in the role of a solo caregiver.

The documentary also features Glen Williams, a retired law enforcement officer and author, who conveys a message aimed at bridging “the gap in communication between officer and spouse,” according to the release.

“When a police officer suffers from trauma, their family will suffer right along with them. Our film gives a voice to the spouses, significant others and children of the police family,” the release states.
