At the end of this year, when he exits the Legislature, state Rep. F. Jay Barrows, R-1st Bristol, will have represented parts of Foxborough, Mansfield, and Norton for 18 years.
Barrows comes from both the private and public sector — he has continued to work for his family’s insurance company while in the Legislature, and spent years on the Mansfield Housing Authority before his time on Beacon Hill.
