How to watch WNBA All-Star Friday Night free live stream today: 3-Point Contest, Skills Challenge

The WNBA’s top stars have all gathered in Indianapolis for the 2025 WNBA All-Star Break, and on Friday, July 18, the stars convene at Gainbridge Fieldhouse for WNBA All-Star Friday Night.

The festivities are scheduled to start at 8 p.m. EDT and will be broadcast on ESPN. Fans looking to watch this WNBA event can do so for free by using DIRECTV, which offers a free trial, or FuboTV, which also offers a free trial and up to $25 off your first month. SlingTV doesn’t offer a free trial but has promotional offers available. ESPN+ plans are currently at $11.99 a month or $16.99 a month if you bundle with Hulu and Disney+.

The event is headlined by a 3-Point Contest that was supposed to feature the past two winners—Sabrina Ionescu of the New York Liberty (2023) and Allisha Gray of the Atlanta Dream (2024)—along with the leading vote getter for the 2025 All-Star Game and the main attraction in Indianapolis, Caitlin Clark. However, Clark re-aggravated a groin injury that kept her sidelined for some time on Tuesday and has had to pull out of the 3-Point Contest and All-Star Game. Her Indiana Fever teammate Lexi Hull will take her spot in the 3-Point Contest, which also features Los Angeles Sparks guard Kelsey Plum, a two-time champion and gold medalist who held the NCAA scoring record before Clark it, and Washington Mystics rookie Sonia Citron, who is also representing her squad in Saturday’s All-Star Game.

The other big event for the night is the Skills Challenge, which will also feature Gray, who won both event last year before going on to help Team WNBA knock off Team USA in the All-Star Game. She will be going against fellow All-Stars Courtney Williams of the Minnesota Lynx and Skylar Diggins of the Seattle Storm, along with Diggins teammate in Seattle, Erica Wheeler, and Natasha Cloud of the New York Liberty.
