The 2025 US Open is moving on to the second round starting on Wednesday, Aug. 27 and continuing through Thursday, Aug. 28 at the USTA National Tennis Center in New York.
The second round is scheduled to start at 11 a.m. EDT on Wednesday and Thursday and will be broadcast on ESPN, ESPN2, ESPN Deportes and ESPN+. Fans looking to watch can do so for free by using DIRECTV, which offers a free trial. FuboTV offers up to $30 off your first month. In the first round, No. 6 Madison Keys, No. 12 Elina Svitolina and No. 13 Daniil Medvedev were the players to suffer the biggest upset defeats, but there were a handful of other players ranked for the US Open that saw their tournaments end after one match.
In the second round, Wednesday’s action will include some of the tournament’s biggest names such as Novak Djokovic, Emma Navarro, Jessica Pegula, Casper Ruud, Taylor Fritz, Francis Tiafoe, Carlos Alcaraz, Elena Rybakina, Jasmine Paolini and Aryna Sabalenka.
On Thursday, players including Iga Swiatek, Jack Draper and Jannik Sinner will take the court.
